{Bear Lake} Gratitude & Thanksgiving

I'm so grateful that years ago my brother and his wife decided to build a cabin at Bear Lake and chose to create a place where family can gather and create lasting memories. Mike and Brandy are generous beyond words and our Thanksgiving celebrations at their home have become a favorite tradition of mine.

It begins by gathering in Fish Haven, with this beautiful view of the lake.

The week progresses with lots of prepping and cooking, quite reading time, not-so-quite game time, late night laughter and a new tradition, "Pie Night", celebrated on Thanksgiving Eve. But the real treasure are the people - my people - who are reason enough to give thanks this Thanksgiving!

and this....well, there is not quite words but it sure has been burned into all our memories ;)

Goodbye to the Jeep Compass

It's time to say "goodbye" to the Jeep Compass.

This is when you would normally say what a good car it has been and be reminded of the great memories - but I'm not feeling it. I've resented this car since I had to replace the transmission three months into owning it. I guess you can say I just couldn't get past that.
