Happy Halloween

Jake and Ty and I attended our ward Fall Festival last night.
I love these sweet boys of mine that were willing to get photos in the photo booth with their mama.

And I love that my parents had everyone dress up for Halloween for their family dinner tonight and that they sent me this photo...

{TX} quick trip

Rich and I spent this past weekend in Texas.
We visited Waco, TX and the Magnolia Silos (truly the only reason to go to Waco)

Then we went to Austin, TX where we went to the University of Texas, Cameron Park (where we climbed Jacob's Ladder) and we waited in line for some mighty good authentic Texas BBQ

Then we spent the afternoon with Tanner and Haley at their home in Irving, TX. We enjoyed dinner with them and explored the area near their home by taking a nice Sunday afternoon stroll.

{T} Pumpkin Patch & Carving

I'm down to just one kiddo still willing to go pick out pumpkins with me. In truth, I'm not even sure that Ty cares anymore but he is always willing to hang with his mama :)

And it's a good thing that Ty got a pumpkin cause Boppa and Diyah made the trip all the way from Utah to help him carve it.

{J} XC race becomes a mud run

I loved this cheering section for Jake today at his XC race!!!
And in true Oregon fashion, the rain made it's appearance which made for a muddy course. Apparently Jake slipped during the race so we may have had one of the muddier runners by the end of the race.

{J} WHS Homecoming

Tonight was Jake's first high school Homecoming.
A group of mom's coordinated a nice dinner, a scavenger hunt and then games for the kids. Not as many kids came as we'd hoped but we made the most of it and I think the kids that came had a fun time.

(Jack Hammond, Brinley Fister, Jake, Parker Fish, Delaney Collier, Atticus McIlmoil)

With the small turnout, the scavenger hunt teams only had three kids each. It was a photo scavenger hunt that took the kids all over Wilsonville and these are a few of Jake's team's photos.

{J} he slimed me!!!

As a mom you are always grateful when your teenage son is willing to give you a hug - especially in front of his high school friends.
But when the hug follows a 5K XC race you may squirm just a little more than normal.
